What Working from Home Looks Like.

So in the mornings, I usually have Bella play next to me for about 30 minutes or so while I get some writing/email answering/editing done. And this is our little space. Little, messy space. :)

Her dear purple snakey that Auntie bought her is there. The table and chairs from IKEA. Blocks I’ve had since I taught kindergarten from Melissa and Doug. Train set (plastic) is an old one from Fisher Price that used to be Sam’s. The other (wooden) is my little brother’s and it’s BRIO. Both include a “Thomas with no face.”

Her little kitchen in the back is from Plan Toys. My desk is one I grabbed of Amazon and put together myself (because that’s how I roll).

That’s where I spent the majority of her nap time. Unless it’s deathly hot like now and then I go into our living room. And when she’s in bed, I’m again in the living room so Sam and I can talk while I finish things up.

So what’s come from that little area of thought process this week? Well, here you go. Catch up on my blurbs around the interwebs:

Would You Change Your Adopted Child’s Name? Sam and I debate on this, I list our thoughts why and why not on here.

Yes. Adoption Terrifies Me. We just went through losing our boys. I would be lying if I said that the thought of opening up to a child we don’t have yet isn’t scary as heck. But we’re still doing it.

Surviving a Road Trip: How to Travel With Children. Hitting the road this summer with the kids? Aren’t you excited about hours and hours and hours in the car with them? Yeah. That’s what I thought. Here are some tips on how to get ready and what to do on the way.

Have a great weekend all! I’ll be doing the weight/health post Monday in case any of you want to link up yours.

Lol! That is what my house looks like as well. I’m curious ~ how do you like the desk? I need a new one…Nice to have found your blog.

Meh – it’s ok for what I paid (like $80). It can’t be moved a whole lot because it’s not really sturdy – but it gets the job done!

This is a book about a little girl from korea who wants to change her name to be more american. Very heartwarming story to possibly share with your little one.

Very neat – thank you for sharing that!

I love keeping up with your life, Diana. I’m thankful for the way you share your family’s story with such beautifully raw emotion. It help me to understand the best way to be praying for you guys even though we’ve never met. Xoxox -your sister in Christ

Thank you for praying for us – really. We know how much that has helped us through these last 2 months.

This gives me hope. I’m hoping to make the transition from full-time working mom to “working at home” mom in the next six months or so. My son will be 2 in September and I’ve been worried about how I’ll manage my time. Thanks for letting us peek in!
