Dove Visible Care Body Wash & a Chance to Win a $500 Spafinder GC
When we moved to El Paso last year, my skin went from Colorado soft to Sahara desert dry. I was able to use all organic products there, they might have dried out my skin some but a little lotion now and then fixed that.
Here? I had to start trying all kinds of new products labeled, “Extra Moisturizing”. In fact, it was so bad one of my friends send me lotion in the mail as a joke.
Only the entire bottle was gone in 2 weeks.
So when Dove sent me their Visible Care Body Wash to try out, I honestly wasn’t sure if it would matter any. We have 4% humidity here on a good day unless it’s raining. Would something that gets rinsed off change the tight feeling my skin felt all the time? Could you really get visibly more beautiful skin from a body wash? Wasn’t that a tag line pretty much every skin product used?
I’ve been using the Dove Visible Care Renewing Crème Body Wash for a little over a week now. The bottle says you’ll see “Visible Skin Improvement” within a week.
I actually have.
Dove Visible Care Body Wash is a revolutionary line of premium body wash, and it contains the highest concentration of NutriumMoisture technology across the Dove portfolio. I can honestly say that my skin is different after a week of using the Renewing Crème wash. I noticed it because usually on the days the sitter is here and I get to write at Starbucks for a couple of hours – I sit there the entire time with my scaly legs that I forgot to lotion staring up at me as a reminder of why I should have worn pants. The last couple of times? I never gave it a thought – they felt soft and looked healthy.
Even Sam has noticed. I didn’t tell him about the Dove campaign, not because it’s this huge surprise or anything (because what man on earth is going to be super excited over his wife using a new body wash?), but he noticed anyway. I was getting Bella out of the car the other day and he reached to grab her from my arms, stopping to say, “Your skin is really soft.”
Honest to goodness people.
I think the only cons are that the body wash product is a little thin, so it pours really quickly out of the dispenser, and that the dispenser is on the bottom. Great for when you’re low on the product as it sits there, not so great when it’s full and the cap opens and it dumps out.
However, I really like this product. I’ll buy it on my own when it runs out. I’m also bringing it to BlogHer with me in a travel dispenser. Because yes, it’s that amazing.
