Updates, Agencies, Money, and The Huffington Post

I love the butterfly in this pic. It was taken at the Albuquerque zoo, and I think I chased it around for like 20 minutes trying to get a shot where it would hold still.

This past week over at Babble’s Being Pregnant blog {where I am currently not pregnant} I wrote about our adoption, and got a little surprise of my own.

  • Adoption Updates: We’re two months in, homestudy is moving along, patience is being tested, and email updates are sometimes a bit – worrisome.
  • 10 Tips to Help You Choose the Right Adoption Agency: We all hear those horror stories of parents promised a child they pay thousands of dollars for and never see, or an agency that closes its door halfway through the process. I lay down the best ways to go about finding a good agency, and one that works for you and your needs as a family.
  • Just How Much Does Adoption Really Cost?: You asked, I answered. I broke down the figures and need-to-know laws in each country popular for international adoption. Also? This one got syndicated over on The Huffington Post. So yeah. I was pretty freaking excited. ::headexplosions::

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Congratulations. Both on the things moving along on the adoption front, and the Huff Post piece. *applause*

I was adopted as an infant, and my family continues to be such a blessing to me.
Hang in there!
