I’m here – just taking a break to recoup from getting a cerclage and still being sick on and off.

Baby is doing good! I was able to see it yesterday on a 3D at 15 weeks and everything is on track. We do know what this little one is but we’re not telling publicly yet. I just want to keep it a bit private for now, and we have zero names picked out.

And I want to do a really cute announcement.

Sam is home in 2 (2!!!!) days. We are so excited to see him again. It’s been nearly 7 weeks since he left for training in Georgia. Somehow this time has seemed longer than any other. I think it was just the onslaught of everything I had to do and then trying to figure out how to do it without him helping.

We found an amazing, amazing sitter a few weeks ago and she has been a God send. I don’t know how I would have managed all this without her. I come home to a clean house with a happy child and lots of crafts – so thankful for her. It makes my many appointments a lot easier to get to and try to relax for.

Bella has been sleeping through the night again. Thank goodness. For a while (like the first 4 weeks) she woke up every.single.night bawling about something and it would go on for hours. We would both be so tired in the morning. I knew it was Sam being gone, she tends to just do this at night when he’s away for more than a couple days, but about 2 weeks in I honestly just wanted to chuck her outside and let her scream there so I could sleep.
Luckily it didn’t come to that lol.

I’ve had some dear friends here who have made this time pass quicker. One has a little girl Bella’s age and her husband is also gone. So we spend our evenings and weekends cooking, watching movies, and having play dates. I’m so blessed to have her here for that.

Still no official word on where/when we’re moving. Once Sam gets home he can take care of it so maybe it won’t be much longer (or it will and this is just hopeful thinking!).

Thank you for all the prayers, kind emails, messages – I’m behind in answering but at the moment all the sitter’s hours are for my appointments. Any time I have while Bella naps is spent working. At night I’m out by 8:30/9. I promise to try to get to those soon.

Typing this on my phone in bed so my thumbs are sore. I’m off to enjoy the quiet a little longer before the day starts here.
