As my babywearing days with Bella wind down, partly due to pregnancy and partly to the fact that she’s getting older, I find myself wanting to enjoy the closeness we didn’t get a whole lot of her first year (reflux kills the joy of it). I also find myself gearing up for a new little one to wear and snuggle.

So when Onya Baby contacted me about doing a review/giveaway of one of their adorable carriers that retail at $149,

I jumped at the chance. Not only because you can back and front wear with either type of their carrier (which means Sam can wear Bella longer than I’ll be able to), and it’s one of the lightest carriers I’ve owned (of the 8 I’ve had), but because you can wear your toddler up to 45lbs, and it doubles as a seat.

Winter Babywearing – A babyWAWL Giveaway

A few weeks ago I posted on tips for making babywearing easier in the winter. One of my tips was to wrap a larger coat around you, and several people posted about maternity coats or specially made jackets that would work as well. All of them costing quite a bit. Shutterfly 3 sets of 25 Holiday Giveaway

When I was a nanny in Southern California, my last family was one that totally stole my heart. To keep the memories we had made, I gave them a Shutterfly book filled with all the pictures we’d taken over the past year and a half together.

When Bella was born, we used Shutterfly again. That Christmas, we had cards done with her – her tiny toes and hands captured when she was just a month old. Last Christmas we gave Grandpa Shutterfly mugs with pictures of Bella. (Huge, huge hit.)

For most of the major events since then, Shutterfly has become my go-to place online to share our memories as a family. I honestly love how simple it is to use, how great the prices are, and how the cards/calendars/books are professionally done. They offer things you want to keep on your fridge or coffee table for a lifetime.

Bounce Bar Review and Giveaway (with a $50 Visa card!)

As a busy mom with a husband who requires a neat, clean, pet-hair-free appearance for work, I find that dyer sheets have become the bane of my existence. While Sam does his own laundry (many years ago we just agreed to let him do it since he’s rather anal), I am the one continually picking up random dryer sheets from everywhere.

So when Bounce sent me their new, unscented Bounce Dryer Bar, I was thrilled. It’s like having 3 months worth of dryer sheets in a tidy little package – that sticks to the inside of your dryer. So simple, so convenient. Just stick it and forget it. I got to work doing laundry that day and was impressed at how it worked.

I chose unscented because we tend to be a little more sensitive to things we wear. I love that it repels pet hair from clothes, while controlling static and leaving everything so soft. We have cats, but we’re not fans of leaving the house with hair clinging to us. This changes that.

I’ve never been a fan of dryer sheets before because I found that on certain clothes they actually caused more static. But with the Bounce Dryer Bar, the static is controlled. Sam loves that, his clothes have to be almost perfect in the Army and clingy, fuzzy clothes could actually get him in trouble. I love the fact that we are now a dryer-sheet-free household. For cloth diapers and Bella’s night clothes (the Bounce Dryer Bar warns not to use it on pajamas because it reduces the flame retardant) you can simply unsnap it out of the dryer, and then snap it back in for the next load.

The best part is when the bar is done, you can purchase a refill to snap into the shell again. No fuss. This is great as dryer sheets used to get hidden in the dryer, and I’d do a load of diapers or night clothes without seeing it was in there. Waiting for me. :/ And now I’m free of them. I can barely contain my excitement. You know how much I love to vacuum?

A few weeks ago, I tweeted that my old vacuum had finally died. Being that I used it every day for 4 years I’m surprised the thing lasted as long as it did.

Scentsy Birthday Giveaway

Last but most certainly not least:

I swore I was never going to try Scentsy. I’m just not a scent person. Sam is, he loves sprays and candles. But I just like things to smell fresh and clean.

Then Tracy from Liberating Working Moms (my blog bestie) offered to send me a plugin and scent from her Scentsy shop. And I agreed, willing to give all the hype over it a try.

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. Honest to goodness. I am a Scentsy addict.
