I told you all before BlogHer this year I wasn’t a shopper. I like clothes, hate to shop for them. Well friends, the same goes for underwear. Mostly because underwear is so darned expensive.

It just boggles my mind to pay $75 for a bra that will (no matter how much I pledge to wash it on delicates only) end up in the whitest whites wash cycle at some point. Then it’s all downhill from there. So I usually just grab them off the racks as I need them. After I got married and the honeymoon luster wore off, the only expensive bras I bought were when I was nursing Bella.

But there is a part of me that wants that expensive look again, that loves the beautiful, sexy line without the price tag, that loves being a mom, but also loves looking like a woman. I also know it’s important to present a polished look while being out and about and while feeling beautiful and comfortable underneath my clothes.

BlogHer and Vanity Fair® invited me to review their gorgeous new line of bras and underwear. The Modern Coverage Collection was created in several different styles for the unique figures of women. It has less cup coverage for that sexy, womanly look while it’s still designed with comfort and support in mind. Can I just say that I totally loved opening the Vanity Fair® package?

I’m not a real “outdoorsy” kinda gal, but I do love things like camping, picnics, etc. Living in El Paso, we can be outside nearly year round. As our weather cools off, it means we spend even more time outdoors without the fear of bursting into flames from 100+ degree heat. Sam and I have been looking into what we can get that would make our summer nights a little more fun, and think we might have the answer.

I love road trips. Seriously – like at almost an unhealthy level. If I could choose to drive over fly somewhere, I would. I love packing, getting the car organized, filling a cooler, planning the route and stops on the way – everything.

When we moved to El Paso last year, my skin went from Colorado soft to Sahara desert dry. I was able to use all organic products there, they might have dried out my skin some but a little lotion now and then fixed that.

Here? I had to start trying all kinds of new products labeled, “Extra Moisturizing”. In fact, it was so bad one of my friends send me lotion in the mail as a joke.

Only the entire bottle was gone in 2 weeks.

So when Dove sent me their Visible Care Body Wash to try out, I honestly wasn’t sure if it would matter any. We have 4% humidity here on a good day unless it’s raining. Would something that gets rinsed off change the tight feeling my skin felt all the time? Could you really get visibly more beautiful skin from a body wash? So when we headed back to Colorado for a few weeks in June, I knew we were going to need to make as few stops as possible on the way. That meant snacks and lunch packed in the car to avoid having to stop for anything other than restroom breaks and gas.

I wasn’t exactly sure how to bring food that we had in the fridge already without it spoiling. But we couldn’t leave it – 2 weeks with yogurt, cheese, and apples was sure to be an unpleasant surprise when we got home.

Then I remembered our PackIt’s.

Seriously – these things are pretty amazing. They have ice packs built into them, so the entire thing stores easily in the freezer (they fold to be compact) and pulled out when they’re ready for use. We loaded all of our perishable stuff in both of them for the road trip.
