For Christmas, Sam and I decided to get something we’ve always wanted – a DSLR with a couple lenses. We both love photography, not enough to start a business or anything, but enough that we want to learn how to take much better pictures.

I took a year of photography in high school – with a dark room, real film, all that. I can still smell the solution on the photos. And in blogging, I’ve seen some tremendous photos. They’ve inspired me to at least learn more about what people have to do to take them. I love to create visually both in writing and in pictures, but my iPhone usually leaves something to be desired technically.  [Read more...]
